A few weeks ago I thought I was about to witness a fight due to someone telling someone else to turn off his phone. I started to pull out my digital camera to record the event but couldn't decide if I needed to keep it off, too.

There is nothing worse on an airplane that someone talking loudly on a cell phone. No one cares about there conversation but they just have to speak real loud so everyone can hear what they are talking about. Its a freaking cellphone not a can on a wire. Why do they have to speak so loud?

Really? From this thread one might infer you're a NW F/A.

ROFLMAO! Too funny!

As for the rest of you law and order types, I agree that rules are rules. But have you BEEN at sfo on a busy afternoon? Planes regularly close the doors and sit at the gate to count for on-time departure but then sit and sit and sit. Yes, I was technically breaking the rules but we werent even backing up yet.

As I said, I was speaking very quietly and not bothering anybody other than, apparently, the asshat sitting in front of me.

You know, if I had been THINKING, I would have picked up the airphone and loudly continued my conversation....why is it you only think of the REALLY cool things to do the next day!?!?!!?

Welcome to FT! It is these light-hearted, not life-threatening interactions where everybody has acted in less than adult fashion that give us the reasons to crack a smile every once in a while!

But now you know better, and really arrest people ONLY for more.

That has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand.

I truly question if you ladies and gentleman in here are adults. Were you just raised by wolves is that it?

Really grow up. Kicking the seat - Boy now that truly was grown up. You're an executive right?
Actually, it's really hard to kick the seat in front of you in Y on an Airbus. About the best you'd be able to do is bark your shins on the bottom of the seat. If the OP were really able to do it without standing on his own seat he'd have to be no more than 10 years old or so.
