Problems with Travelocity

Howdy
Ive emailed Travelocity several times about this but cannot get satisfaction, so will try here for some idea's.

My problem.
Living in US with Australian C/C and billing address.

In July 04, I booked and paid for a flight and hotel on the Travelocity website. All smooth sailing, no problemo.

Around December 04, Travelocity changed my account billing information, and took out my billing state in Australia.

Now every time I try and update my account with the correct information I get a server error.
Problem is, Travelocity now say "If you have an Australian CC then you have to use Zuji.com.au for travel"

My issue is that in the billing information, they have every country and even specific AUS states. BUT they wont accept this information.

My next issue is if I use Zuji.com.au, the prices are higher than Travelocity US, and also because my shipping address isnt in Australia, they want to issue paper tickets, thus costing an additional $47.00
And also, they will bill in US dollars. So its a triple hit.

Ive asked them several times why they have the options but dont allow the selections. I also told them they have lost about $10K in travel over the last 7 months, but still they wont inject my account details or do anything to fix the problem.

The word Zuji, comes up every 3rd word. So my last correspondance with them I said "So you want me to use Zuji, and for me to pay a higher price for the same stock, then you want me to pay for paper tickets, then you will bill me in US dollars from an Australian Website".
I also told them, that " beleive it or not there are other places on the Internet to buy air travel and book hotels."
Hmmmm, havent got a reply to that one yet !!!

With increasing CC fraud, I can see why they do this, BUT at the same time its not like ordering a DVD player and shipping it to Nigeria.

Does anybody else have the same issue as me.... Or do you just use your US address as the billing address.

Thanks
Robert

Your experience doesnt surprise me.
My experience with Travelocity has been very bad. Their customer service is non-existent. I have never been able get a supervisor to contact me when requested.

If you're living in ATL, why not get an US based credit card? Either that, or open a local checking account & get a Visa check card.

Ditto to that. In fact, I don't even consider using Travelocity anymore for travel booking of any kind.

I think both Trvaelocity and Expedia are equally bad. Their systems to do not address complicated situations and the customer service is almost non existant. Next, these services will have a "trusted" credit card user.

Recently, ( from US) I tried to buy a RT on SIN-BOM on Expedia. The loaded fares were old and the only way they could terminate the transaction was by telling me that Discover had denied the charge. Discover told me that the error was at Expedia's end. They locked out the Discover Card account # and no one at Expedia cared to address the situation.

BTW, I did buy the ticket without any problems on Travelocity! Go Figure!

Cant go the CC option. No credit history in the US.

Visa check card is an option for most people in my situation, but I still work in Aus from the US, so most of my money is there, hense why I need to use an AUS CC.

Again, transferring $$$ from AUS to US to pay for the travel is an option, but I dont see why I have to go out of my way, to help a business that wont help me

I found myself now where I can only book directly with the airlines. Which is stange because when you book with other booking services, the airline charge for the airfare and the booking agents charge their fee.
So its not a issue where the airlines dont allow this. It comes from Travelocity, Expedia's end.
