Ticket Prices

My wife and I are planning to travel to Bruge next month for a romantic weekend. We'll be traveling from IAD to AMS and taking the train.

Here's the question for you all. The price of IAD to AMS was in the $950 range earlier this summer.....right now they're around $675 R/T. Do any of you have any sense wether or not international airfares will remain firm or should I wait and hope that the prices will soften a bit?

I swear, buying an international ticket is like buying stock futures....

Looking forward to some input.

Regards,

It is a lottery, especially if the oil prices continue to rise... On the other hand, high season is coming to an end and up till this year, prices for Y tickets between the US and Europe have a tendency to go down, but don't expect too much of a drop. Choose a flight as late as possible in September.
Good luck
