Help - Mexico Visa??

Can any FTer give me some advice??

My better half (German citizen) and I (U.S. citizen) will be in San Diego in October and would like to go across the border at Tijuana into Mexico for the day. Does my husband need a visa for the day, and, if so, can he obtain it at the border?

Thanks for your help.

Citizens of the EU do not need a visa to visit Mexico for less than 180 days. However, you are required to get a "tourist card" at the border.

Thank you both for your quick replies. It makes the preparations for our trip much easier.

In Niagara Falls several years ago it was more problematic to cross into Canada. A visa would have been needed - even for just a few hours - and so, we just didn't bother!

Enjoy, but if you have a car, keep driving past TJ - the drive between La Fonda & N Ensenada is just gorgeous!
