I possess fairly generic luggage (Kathmandu backpack and Samsonite rollaboard) in the generic colour: black. To differentiate my luggage I enjoy using interesting luggage tags.

I use an Ansett Australia Silver Baggage tag in a SQ PPS Club leather holder, a pretty unusual combination.

I'm curious as to the unique tags (besides the Flyertalk ones) used by fellow flyertalkers.

I have one that reads Dysfunctional Family Member...in the few times I have checked it...and it was picked up off of the line..it was quickly put back after they saw the tag

Before I made elite I used to put an aluminium Concorde tag with matt finish on my carry on. It was given to me following an aforementioned flight but wasn't obviously a Concorde tag unless you looked at it very closely. Only got the one mention from a member of BA cabin crew which was on the last flight before I decommissioned it for a BA EC tag...

I have a plastic card Marco Polo Club tag attached to my bags. Of course I would still have to identify the physical appearance of my bags if I travel onboard CX where there are other Club members travelling on the same flight.

Rather than using collectors' items for bag tags on any checked luggage (which sometimes, I hate to admit, I must use to lug my dive gear,) mine are very useful sturdy vinyl tags in bright yellow that hold an itinerary inside - sans my home address, of course - a copy is on top of everything I have packed inside the luggage, in a ZipLoc bag: the Magellan's Retriever Tag . The tag indicates in eight languages there is an itinerary inside, and it must be unfastened for anyone to retrieve it. This tag makes it easier to identify your bag, or to have it sent on to your next stopover destination.

(Be discrete with what information you put on your itinerary, of course; it's for getting your bag forwarded to you, not tell a thief's accomplice where your vacant home is.)

I like it because its abit different and nostalgic. Many times I get "Oh my (insert relative/friend) used to work for Ansett..." type comments that lead to airline related conversations, a personal favourite.

I like the idea of a Concorde tag, though I feel like a fraud since I was not fortunate enough to fly the grand old bird before retirement. Your trip report made me very envious

I use 2 - tag from one of my Alma Maters, and a WDW Tinkerbell tag.

And bag is a green ballistic cloth rather than "traditional" black.

Definitely stands out amongst the millions of other "priority" checked bags.

Bright yellow, green and orange plastic tags from Magellan's combined with plastic velcro wrap around handle. Mix them up in different colors. My husband and I use the same colors on each of our rollaboards....one green, one yellow....so you can easily identify the bags in hotel rooms.

I just recieved my Flyertalk tags this morning, and they will be decorating my bags on my next trip (and hopefully many more after that!). Maybe I'll be lucky enough to meet some flyertalkers...

I use one of the metal UA tags (from their online store), plus one of those Scotch / 3M self-laminated tags with my own design on it that has contact info, etc. Gotta update that one since I'm about to move in a week or so.

The FT tag is now going on my rollaboard; I'll probably take off the metal UA tag to make room.

I have also used the keychains attached to my car keys into my bags for identification purposes (without the car keys of course).

I used the Flight Connect tool but unfortunately no flyertalkers were on my routes at the time. Maybe some day I'll meet you, fbg?
