Biggest In-Cabin Pet Peeves
Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I just found this board now!!!
Curious to know what others think...some things really get on my nerves.
Perhaps my biggest is:
1) The person behind you pulling themselves up with the back of your seat, then flinging you forward like a slingshot...
2) See nickname
3) The person in front of you shooting back their chair to recline. Please go slow so I can adjust my laptop, and I've had my head banged a few times if I was bending down to grab something under my seat.
Any others?

Agree with all of the above. Here are a few more:
- An empty wine glass in C or F. (fill it or ask me if I'm ready for coffee)
- roll-a-boards (if can't fit under the proverbial seat in front of you: check it)
- Old-fashioned IFEs, where you're not in control of what movie you want to watch, and when
- PAX who are incapable of saying "please" and "thank you" to the FAs

The 350+ pound PAX squeezing into economy. Not trying to be mean, but at some point something has got to give. Purchasing a second seat seems like the best solution.

--Cell phone yappers--the cabin door is CLOSED, people! If you were THAT important, you wouldn't be flying commercial.
--Security newbies--yes, the S&M leather belt with the studs WILL set off the metal detector. Yes, you should put your possessions into the bin BEFORE you're first in line.
--Indecisive drinkers--It's an hour flight between HOU and DAL. Know what you want to drink BEFORE the FA has to ask. Do not ask for a recital of what beverages are carried. You're holding up my Happy Hour.

I agree with seat-grabber and cell-yakkers. I'll add "don't you know who I am" elites who think they are way too important.
Any those who insist in trying to start a conversation after I've stuck my earphones in and am working on my PC.
And FA's/TSA'ers who make up rules as they go.

The only thing I really can't deal with is a middle seat surrounded by FAT people. Not only didn't I get any armrest, but I had to sit with my arms squinched into my sides to avoid coming into contact with both passengers' overabundant adipose tissue.
Luckily, I accidentally spilled my soda on one of them halfway through the flight. It didn't get me wet at all, but totally soaked one of my rowmates.

Clearly you and I don't agree, but I've always successfully shared the armrest with my fellow middle seat pax, with one person using the forward part of the armrest and the other using the back part.

What stinky123 is trying to say is that he hates to be the meat(vege if you might) between the sandwich, I see where he's coming from. Stinky how large was the soda pop, super sized ?

I agree about pulling up by the back of the seat, and the fast recline. I always look behind before doing a slow recline.
My primary peeve is people monopolizing armrests... And then there are the ones who don't bathe before flying.

My pet peeve is Bad Breath
and Body Odour
especially if the passenger is sitting next to you because I tend not to talk but that doesn't help, when they breathe, the odour of rotten eggs reeks out at that point.

I think the middle seat person should share the armrests. However, I've sat next to some who hog them. It's annoying. Isn't the point of FT to help flyers avoid middle seats anyways?
Loud cell phone yappers are awful. I know I try to be discreet when in public places. Again I will post, please do not allow cell phone use while the plane is in the air!

The moron sitting behind me in AA that not only did he grab my seat to pull himself, he also pulled my hair

Those electronic hand held solitaire/poker/bingo/whatever games, please, turn the sound off, I don't really care about the <bleep>,,,,<bleep>,<bleep>,,,<bleep>,,,,,,,,,,<ble ep>,,,,<bleep>,,<bleep>,<bleep><bleep>

Babies in First Class...............Gotcha, just kidding
People with carry-ons that expand, and have more layers than a wedding cake, and are
when they don't fit in the overhead bins.
The fact that while I am sitting (yes, always in coach) and I just been given a drink and the FA comes with the plastic bag ready to collect.
People sitting right next to me with their laptops playing solitaire, and you see a couple of obvious moves that they keep missing. I guess I shouldn't look
Loud passengers.

pet peeves
What ticks me off are those passengers who think the rules don't apply to them. They're either too dumb or don't have a clue - but generally act that whatever they do is fine - with a careless, cavalier attitude regarding the rest of the passengers on the plane.
I also have little tolerance for those who upgrade from economy to first/business - and think it's their right to be up front.
Kids in all classes who aren't managed by their parents are a pet peeve.
