ok, I can't resist. I just love sitting in the row right behind exit row and there's a large (obese?) man sitting in front of me that keeps his seat reclined thru the entire flight while sitting in the exit row. I mean come on how much space do you really need. Plus, I love the fact that large people can get the seat reclined further than normal. Somehow, they can push the pitch limits.

3) When people who sit in a bulkhead still insists on putting a heavy box at their feet which encroaches more than halfway into my footspace.

4) LOUD anyone ^

Oh, what utter xenophobic nonsense. In my travels, I've encountered loud Germans, loud Spanish, loud Chinese, loud Morocans, loud Italians, loud Dutch, loud Portugese, just to name a few (and, yes, on occassion, loud Americans). I don't, however, extrapolate from these loud people to all citizens of their country.

Also, in my travels, I've encountered nationalistic bigots from time to time.

It's a very big world out there. Don't make assumptions based on limited interactions.

Pet peeve: talkative pilots and FAs on redeyes. Shut up already and let me sleep. If it's not an emergency, leave me alone.

Xenophobia and nationalism? Sorry, but I've noticed that the loudest groups I encountered when I lived in and traveled widely through Europe overwhelmingly tended to be Americans. That's not to say that there weren't many quiet, unobtrusive Americans like myself; they were just...unobtrusive.

OMG don't know how i forgot this one. Has to be one of the worst.

For those times I am unable <gasp> to secure an upgrade....

Fortunately/Unfortunately for me, at 6'4" my knees usually prevent someone from being able to do this. But oh do they try  . After the thrid or fourth attemp, I usually politely tell them that my knees are in the way  . Then there's the a**holes who will wait until I go to the lav to recline - they get the knees in the back for the rest of the trip..... :D

Speaking of "weeks to check in": In the pre-eTicket days, what the hell were the counter agents typing in? I'd show up with a prepaid and prebooked domestic ticket, yet the agent would type War and Peace into the computer.[/QUOTE]

I must live long enough to get the answer to this question.

Perhaps the cargo hold would be more suitable for such a beast...

Hate it when I'm in coach and the FAs don't ever return to ask if I'd like another drink or pick up garbage. Instead they're all congregated in the back talking and doing mostly nothing!! I know this has been addressed before, but my question is this: Wouldn't the time pass more quickly and the passengers be quieter and more appreciative of the FAs if they'd walk up and down the aisles and try to be available? Guess they're all "over it" especially with wage cuts and job insecurity!! But, those things aren't my fault, so why take it out on me? If I'm a satisfied flyer, I'll fly again and that might help with job security and even a raise!!

FYI - I'm betting you think Americans have a rudimentary understanding of the English language too... last time I checked, your sentence should have been, "Americans WHO shout."
You may be underestimating fbg's intelligence here.
