Classic Favorites:
- Delta's old Widget Logo, particularly on a 767-200 or L-1011
- United's Saul Bass Logo, particularly on a DC-10 or 767-200
- British Airways's Landor Scheme, particularly on a 747-200
Current Best:
- Aeroflot. I really like what they did with that one.
Current Worst:
- New UA/CO Hybrid. Though maybe lazy is the best word for it

I know it's all opinions, but what's wrong with Virgin Atlantic? Also, wouldn't that automatically qualify Virgin America and Virgin Blue as co-worst, since their paint jobs are almost the same? If anything, I think V Australia has the worst livery of all Virgin airlines.
I personally dig Virgin's livery.

It doesn't look cohesive to me. The vertical stabilizer and the fuselage look like they came from two different airplanes. The old tail treatment, with the red paint extending down onto the rear fuselage, looked like it was done by grade-schoolers.
You avoid a whole airline because you don't like the paint? Really? The paint counts for more than price, fees, schedule, on-time performance, service, inflight amenities, aircraft type, safety, etc.? Wow.

Agreed, except this is the better bird sporting it.

Best: BA, Oman Air, LH
I also really like AA's Aluminum, KLM's blue and UPS's cargo planes
[Edit2] As much as I dislike the Airline, I even think Ryanair's planes look rather great.
Worst by far: Iberia. See for example the picture on http://www.2747.com/2747/world/airline/iberia.htm, or also http://www.grancanariaole.de/wp-cont...Iberia-n24.jpg
The colours always look dull, faded and as if all the planes are 30+ years old and have never been cleaned. I wonder if it is simply due to the intense spanish sun, or if the colours are intentionally bad, or the aircraft's outside is really so badly maintained.

+1. I could not care less about the outside. I'm sitting inside. Safety is my #1 concern.
