Flu Shots At Heathrow?
Can't figure out where else to post this, and since I'll be arriving & departing on UA next week, I might as well as my fellow UA flyers:
Anyone know if Heathrow is one of the airports around the world that offer flu shots?
If so, any chance they do so in Terminal 1 (where, as I recall, UA is based)?
Thanks....

1KDAN;
Heathrow does not, to my knowledge, offer flu shots to travellers. We've got enough to do to immunise our population at risk (elderly, asthmatic, etc..)
The only clinics I know of is the British Airways travel Clinic at Picadilly:
http://www.britishairways.com/travel...o/public/en_gb
They do offer flu jabs and the cost is 25 (about $50) and they say in their list "for travel purposes only" (whatever that means).
BTW, UA arrives at Terminal 3.

UA is actually based in Terminal 3.
There is a Medical Centre at LHR which might offer something. Here's a segment cust out of the LHR website:
Heathrow Health Centre
Situated on the ground floor of the Queens Building (between Terminal 1 and 2), the Heathrow Health Centre has qualified nurses offering basic treatment services. Opening Hours: 06:00 to 22:00
For further information please call 020 8745 7047 (UK) or +44 (0)20 8745 7047 (from outside the UK.)
Give 'em a call and ask if they do the flu shots.

You can have a jab at Medicentre (www.medicentre.co.uk) at Paddington station - a quick trip there and back on the paddington express.

As this is not United specific and would likely be of general interest to the traveling FT community, I will move this to "TravelBuzz".
