I'm flying on Delta for the first time and I have a connection flight in SLC and I never been in SLC. I'm kinda worried about the connection time. My flight is suppose to land at 10:28 am and and the connecting flight is at 11:10 am going to SFO. Will there be enough time? Do I have to go throught security again? or is it confusing or a long way to another Delta dept gate?

Assuming your inbound arrival flight is on time, you will be ablel to make your connection. All of the Terminals at SLC are connected. All are quite close to each other. You will probably arrive Terminal C or D. You will depart for SFO from Terminal C or D. If you arrive at gate C-13 and depart from D13 it will take you 10 minutes to get from one to the other. These would be the 2 furtherest gates from each other. There is a chance you may arrive at at the same Terminal your are departing to SFO from. If this is the case you will only have to walk a few gates to make your connection. You will not have time to waste, but as mentioned, assuming your in inbound flight is not late, you should be able to make your connection.

You will not need to go thru security again upon arrival to make your connection.

If you go to Delta.com, there are 2 tools that may help. You can use Flight Information to find where your originating flight will arrive at SLC and where your connecting flight will depart. There is also a map of the terminal. Actual distances are not shown but you will know if your flights are 2 gates apart or at opposite ends.
Just remember that gates do change from time to time.
