I drop off my paperbacks, mags etc at the local Veterans Hospital (or the local hospital) about every 2-3 months. The patients at the VH really look forward to them as they have no easy way to purchase such. Some of those guys have been there a long time have very little contact with the outside world other than tv.

I either offer them to an FA, leave them in hotel or bring them home & then donate them to the local library, which has periodic book sales to raise $$ to buy more books for the library.

Check out the Consolidated Book Thread on the Coupon Connection - FT's got a book exchange - we pass mostly travel related books, but you could list them & if an FT'er is interested, you could just send them media mail to them (which is what most people do - about 1.50/book) or you could have them Paypal you the cost of shipping if they are interested. Currently, it's mostly travel-related books, but if you referred to this thread & passed them on, people may be interested. Usually, we sign & date the books that we pass on.

Great Idea
I actually love the idea of a book exchange.
But postage seems like a pain... how 'bout I send you two trashy spy-novel paperbacks, and you send me two?
I have a pretty large collection, most bought used or review copies.
Could we list this here? Like they do in Coupon connection?
Should I post a list of titles? Or should it be random like priceline?
