Chunnel to LHR

I know I should do a search, but it's Monday. If a wise FTer could help with little effort, I'd appreciate it.
My daughter is taking the train from Paris to London. How does she get to Heathrow from where the train from Paris arrives and how long does it take?

Thanks in advance

The Eurostar arrives at Waterloo Station. Expect an hour to transfer to the Heathrow Express from Paddington, and the H-EX takes about 15 minutes to get to Heathrow.

An alternative, cheaper, method is to take the Northern Line to Leicester Square, and to change there for the Piccadilly Line to Heathrow. She should allow about 90 minutes for this journey. (This change at Leicester Square is reasonably straightforward, I think more so than any alternative.)

Or rail/bus....

Waterloo to Feltham by frequent train service (would save having to go down deep into the bowels of the Northern & Bakerloo lines), and 285 bus to LHR (claims to be every 10 minutes).

I'd second taking the Bakerloo line from Waterloo to Paddington, and change to the Heathrow Express. If all is running smoothly, it should only take about 20 minutes on the tube.

As rkkwan points out, Waterloo to Paddington, then the Heathrow Express is probably the best. I recently took a taxi from Paddington to So. Kensington for about 10 GBP, and again from So. Kensington to Waterloo for about 12, IIRC. The Heathrow Express is 13 GBP.
Alternatively, and if funds are not tight, a taxi - or driver - Waterloo-Heathrow might run 40-45 pounds, and sure makes for an easier trip.

I would second the train to Feltham from Waterloo and then the 285 bus to Heathrow. Combined rail and bus tickets can be purchased at Waterloo station.

see: http://www.baa.com/doc/6d33169bbd811...eec3_main.html

The total cost is around 5.40pounds (4.40 for the train and 1pound for the bus)

(The train operates every 10 to 20 mins and takes about 25 of 30 mins. to reach Feltham. The bus operates every 10 mins. from Feltham to Heathrow)
