Took the train Cairo-Aswan and Luxor-Cairo in 1995. Forgot what it was called then, but from the website, it looks like it was the same accomodation, same operation.
It's quite nice, modern, and quite comfortable in the cabins. I don't know what you want to know about this, but if the Orient Express is the Ritz-Carlton, a regular first class sleeper passenger train is Hampton Inn, and regular 2nd class sleeper is Motel 6, then this train is like the Hilton or Sheraton.
Or think about it as in international business class flight.
It's quite nice, modern, and quite comfortable in the cabins. very nice analogy! just what I was looking for.
another question from a "never traveled in a sleeper car" traveler, are the beds a twin size (one person) or are there larger?

Sweet Willie - Again, let me emphasize that my trip was 9 years ago, so things could very well have changed.
Anyways, they are definitely "single" beds (something similar to Twin), with upper and lower berths. You get served dinner right after departure in your own cabin (better than airline food in Y, but not really that special), and then an attendant will come lower the bed for you. The lounge car is pretty nice, but we were so tired after days of travelling that we hardly spent any time there.
I believe you get a sink in the cabin, but bathrooms are shared.
