SF to OAK...
Planning on taking BART from SF (Embarcadero) to OAK for a 12:50pm flight to DFW (aboard the wonderful CR7!)....given the infrequent AirBart service, the traffic jams, and security lines, I was thinking I'd be safe if I hopped on BART at 11am...or is that pushing it? I have no luggage to check.

MAYBE.. I'm not sure what the frequency of the BART bus is, but for a 12:50 pm flight... the traffic shouldn't be that bad.

That sounds like it's pushing it, particularly if there are any delays (which there could be).

I have taken BART to OAK many times. I did have a 30 min delay once, so you might want to give yourself an extra 30 mins for whatever might happen.

We did this in November. It could take 10-15 minutes to get a BART train, then 22 minutes to OAK, then 15-20 minutes to the airport.

check out http://www.bart.gov or http://www.511.org for BART schedules...

i'd probably allow a 20-30 minutes to get from the Coliseum BART station to the airport. (15 minutes as the worst-case scenario for catching the bus, then about 10 minutes to get there at that time of day...)
