I know exactly what you are saying. I see it everyday that I work.

Not doing anything next week? Come meet Disney fans of all types!

http://laughingplace.com/Info-ID-NFF...Convention.asp

You'll also get to meet those that create the magic. Current creatives, and Disney Legends.

OOOHHH! This should be an enlightening experience.

How about this, we combine all these Disney fans in the convention and put them in a room with the TSA's.

Let's see who runs out first.

I know what you mean. What kind of person would have an unusual hobby that entails:

- Learning as much as possible about a particular industry or vendor.
- Spending an inordinate amount of time communicating with other such persons on a bulletin board dedicated to that topic.
- Being extrememly picky about the service provided by the vendor.
- Engaging in endless speculation as possible upcoming changes and the reasons for recent changes.
- Knowing more about the vendor than many of its employees.
- Having their friends and co-workers think ill of them for having such a strange hobby.

Yea, those Disney fans are an odd bunch indeed! :-)

Or take photographs of food served by that vendor!

(now this was funny.... )

I surfed over to disboards and checked out the airline threads and had a good smile. Imagine an airline changing its schedule for December 2003 already; or that they change schedules every 6 months so watch out; or what does a L or U fare code mean(this w/o mention of the airline). But I think I would be thought to be clueless on that BB asking newbie questions about WDW, which btw I like, as do my kids.

I may check out the FT WDW gathering if I can do it because good food and good wine and talking FT would be fun. BTW, I am not obsessed, I only know a lot about US and AA and HI and oh---nevermind.

Although I am a HUGE fan of Disney World having gone there for the last three years for Spring Break, some of the people there and at MCO and the flights to there are kinda not with it. All in all I don't mind the Disney freaks, its just part of the experiance.

OKW (Old Key West) is a timeshare property, so it makes perfect sense that people would return to it over and over.

I try to be nice to my Orlando addict friends. I am amazed that they think we are extravagant taking a family trip to Europe every year.

Since they are dropping $20 here and there all day long it quickly becomes the same cost as a trip to Europe.

Disney groupies? I don't quite understand this. I respect Disney and think they do a great job for what they are, but Disney is the last place on earth that I would turn to when traveling!
