I remember taking off downwind from Cuzco Peru [~11,600 feet elevation]in a Fawcett stretch B-727 on a hot & humid day with every seat occupied and junk all over the aisle and bins -- the takeoff roll lasted 115 seconds until rotation. It was a little anxiety-producing to say the least.....
