Advise regarding Anchorage
Hi all! I have some questions regarding a trip I will be taking to Anchorage on Memorial Day.
I live in LAS and had booked a flight to SEA prior to plans changing. The flights out of LAS are quite full that day. The UA flight I am currently booked on arrives in SEA at 8:40 pm. There is a UA flight that departs from SEA to ANC at 9:10 pm. I know that the N gates are fairly close together, but that is a really tight connection. Any advise on this would be appreciated.
Also on my return, it looks like I will need to fly Alaska on the ANC - SEA leg. I have never flown Alaska, so have no status with them. Is this going to be totally miserable? I am used to UA F class and am probably really spoiled. Any advise on how to make this better?
I really appreciate all of the help and advise everyone gives on this board! I have become a total addict!!!

And here I thought you wanted advice on ANC, my hometown, which unfortunately I haven't visited since 1989.
AS is a fine airline. Sit on the left side of the plane ANC-SEA for a great view of the coast, if you're flying during the day.
Look on AS' website for seat maps, some seats have better pitch than others.
Don't worry, it'll be fine. AS is one of the better domestic airlines. Be aware you can credit your miles to AS, NW, CO, AA, LA, KL, BA, or CX, if memory serves.

The North terminal is fairly small and you can walk to any gate within the terminal in 5 minutes or less.
As for seats on AS flight, if I am not in first I usually try to get row 6, which is the bulkhead row. The seats on that row have a lot more leg room.

The advice you've gotten so far sounds right to me. If you have any questions about Anchorage or Alaska in general, be sure to drop me an email.

I am not 100% sure of my Mem weekend plans, but if I'm around -- I'd love to meet for a drink and show you around my adopted home town.
