Medical Equipment Security Problem?

Has anyone had any problems with security because they have a carry on piece with medical equipment in it? Specifically, I have a c-pap machine (a black box machine that shoots out air for sleep apnea), but I'm just wondering in general.

No problems. Curiosity mainly, opening the carrying case to see what's inside. It has never been a problem wherever I have traveled.

I carry-on equipment far more "interesting" than a c-pap machine and I have never had a problem.

Sometimes they'll ask you to turn it on to make sure it is not an explosive, but that's about it... if it is battery operated when it goes thru the scanner they make take an interest in the power source... typically batteries are "high-density" and have all sort of wires connecting the cells...

My dad has gone through security a dozen or more times since 9/11 with his c-pap and no problems at all.
