We won't change our travel plans. We leave Sept 30th for St Martin and have just purchased tickets for our trip to Grand Cayman in April. We have reservations in place for St Croix for New Years 2002, its just a bit to early yet to get tickets for that trip as well as our Grand Canyon Trip in Sept, 2002. We travel strictly for pleasure for 2 to 3 weeks every year and refuse to change our plans, to do so lets the terrorists win, and that can't be allowed.

I can't wait to get back up in the air.
My next trip is mid October. I only wish this trip was sooner.
And I'm still going to the PIP in Provence. Check out the thread in the Community area.

All my personal travel, both domestic and international, remain unchanged. Unfortunately, my employer has instated very strict travel rules and most of my trips have been cancelled or postponed against my wishes.

I think I will not alter my domestic travel plans.
But I will ALWAYS get paper tickets now, and I may avoid flying overseas for the time being.
Finally, I guess there's no more business meetings at Airline Lounges. Could be a major inconveniece.

If one felt safe to fly before, it seems to me, that it is even safer now..As for me, I have no qualms at all about flying and I fly a lot. Have 3 more International flights this year and another half dozen or so domestic flights. First, I enjoy the flying, second I am not going to let these people dicate what and where I go....So as for me..it is up up and away..

Here's my story. My kids go to school in the East but I live in So Cal. Last week we were dropping them off for the school year.
Our return flight was on 9/12/01 Flt 175 out of BOS to LAX.Glad we decided to spend that extra day with our student. But we were stranded. Logan airport was in lockdown, you couldn't get near the place.
Made several attempts to fly from Providence, which claimed to be open but no planes were leaving. So we started driving west.Somewhere in Ohio received a call that our student in NJ had an accident, so we turned around.Spent several very stressful days in the hospital(all is OK now)and flew home from EWR.I have NEVER been more calm flying in my life.Maybe it was because we dodged the flt 175 bullet by chance, and now I am fatalistic.I will continue to fly. What happens happens, but I feel safe.
