SFO to Heathrow question
SFO to Heathrow on UAL, arrive 6:30am and then have to switch to a BA flight to
Belfast Int. at 8:20am in the BA terminal.
The problems is that my travel buddy wants to check a bag? Can we de-plane, pick
up her bag, go thought customs, take the bus to the BA terminal, check in her bag
all with in 2 hours???
What are our options?? What would you do?

That would be a really tight connection. I would bet that you would not make it having to wait for a bag and then checking it in to another flight. You might want to post this under London or even UA. You will get more responses. I guess you booked these as two separate tickets?

What do you mean you flew LowCost Airlines just because it was cheaper and a direct flight? What about the MILES?

Too tight - but possible. In a pinch, you could take an (expensive) taxi.
The real solution: never check a bag. You just ask for delays or trouble. If you can't get it on board, you are taking too much. And, don't forget you get TWO carry-ons, and the international bins on the big, new planes are commodious.
