Travel Guide Exchange
I am a travel guide fan but I hate the fact that they get used once and end up on my bookshelf for years until they become obsolete. I was wondering if anyone feels the same way and would like to swap guides? I propose listing which books you want to swap and which you might be interested in swapping and see what happens. Hope this is the right place to post!
I have:
Fodor's Hawai'i 1999
Frommer's Colorado 5th edition 1999
Hidden San Francisco and Northern California 1996
Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney 1997
Fodor's San Francisco 2000
Romantic Days and Nights in San Francisco 1996
I am interested in guides to:
Paris/France
Rome
Boston
Seattle
Amsterdam/ Holland
Cheers, Mark

WHAT A GREAT IDEA! Hey, I usually never shout but this is one of the best threads I've seen in a long time.
I will post again when I get home. I'd love exchange my newish, slightly used guides for other newish, slightly used guides (esp. if the marginalia is good.)
EPOP (each pays own postage)?

I had to start a new user name because I erased the cookies on my computer and FT never wrote me back about my password. FT should consider letting folks chose their own passwords when they register.
Anyways, I dug around and also found Fodor's New Orleans 2000 and Cadogan Guides "Tuscany and Umbria" If anyone is interested.

Click "Post New Topic" or "Post Reply", then click "If you have previously registered, but forgotten your password, click here" down under the page.
In the next page enter your email address you were using with your previous account and click "Request User Name/Password Now".
Soon after that you'll receive an email with your user name and password.
What I don't understand, however, is why you didn't change your password to whatever you like. This BBS works perfectly without cookies. I'm being here with cookies disabled, and still have no difficulty. (You have to give up "New topics here in this forun!" functionality, though.)

Umbria and it is from 1989! You are welcome to it if you still would like it.
Please send me your address and I will send it out. No need to send the Berlin guide. It would not be a fair trade for you.
Cheers,
Mark
