Regent or Inter-continental?
Sorry to start new post but old one seems to board discussion.
I am going to singapore for 4 nights and the package allow me to choose (for same $) either Regent or Inter-continental, which one is better?
P.S. I have an application form from Mastercard allow me to join "Six Continents Club" free and it claims that members can enjoy "upgrade to superior room" at inter-contenental, I doubt I can upgrade since I book airline package but not walk-in, any opinion?
THANKS A LOT !!!

I like the Interconti (haven't stayed at the Regent). I had a room on the 2nd floor in what looks to be an older/original part of the structure (vs. the tower). It was pretty awesome: big, quiet, excellent furnishings, service. I'm not sure if it was an upgrade (I'm mid-tier 6CC). Not sure you'll get any upgrade at Interconti. at the first-tier 6CC?

Stayed at the Singapore Inter-Conti in December--had access to Club Floor which was one of the best ever! Hot and cold breakfast selecctions, afternoon tea(with variety of tea sandwiches and pastries and evening cocktails with hot and cold foods--the location is excellent--about 2 blocks from Raffles--I think this is a fine selection--However, I know nothing about the Regent--

Similar positive stay with InterConti as basic 6CC member: was upgraded to large Club floor room with lounge access. Also received nice little bookmark bearing a reproduction of the hotel's chop house facade. 6CC benefits usually apply even on "discounted" rooms, though you might not get Club floor upgrade/lounge access.
