Website usability ...

NW is touting that they won a comparison done by ZD on airline website usability. The complete story is here:

http://www.zdnet.com/anchordesk/story/story_4343.html

I'm not sure who the heck did these studies, but I've used NW's, CO's, UA's, AA's, and DL's site to book tickets, and if you ask me the ratings are bogus. I think DL's site is much easier to use than any of the others, yet they're ranked below all of them (except CO which isn't ranked) ...

Am I the only one who finds the DL site the most user friendly? What do you guys/gals think ...

I agree with you Beckles and was frankly a bit surprised that there was essentially no reaction to this story when I posted it last week!

Well if you didn't post so many items--we might actually see the interesting ones!

I like UA's site. Of course I use it the most, so I might be used to it.

Sort of off topic, but Website Usability is a big thing.. I noticed DL is redisgning their web site. I like UA's new site, but everyone (airlines webmasters, specifically)should read a book I just picked up at Amazon.com. It's called Designing Web Usability http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/156205810X/. If more airline webmasters read this book, it would make it much easier for me to purchase tickets online!
