I disagree, but it’s helpful to see that other people have different opinions. If I’m in the wrong for having my toes forward of the bar, she’s in the wrong for having her heels behind the bar.
As someone else mentioned, this is reminiscent of schoolyard stuff. I’d have no problem with sharing the space but I get riled up when someone kicks me to solve the problem.

Nobody has suggested that kicking you was the correct solution to the matter.

Who Kucked Who?
My take on this is that the woman’s feet occupied the bar and the poster first kicked her feet. In such a circumstance, I would have responded with a kick back.
That bar belongs to me.
That bar belongs to me.

This is why I love Flyertalk. This thread. We are the only people in the world having this discussion right now.
When I stretch out my feet, they would touch the bar. Usually I just leave my precious toes an inch or two behind the bar...not because of strong opinions on bar-entitlement, but rather to prevent accidentally getting kicked or stepped on. Its not hard to do this and still be reasonably comfortable. (Well, as economy class "comfort" goes, anyway.)
The lady could have been more pleasant about it, but from his perspective she was thinking "why is this dude sticking his feet into my space?"
When I opened the thread, I thought it was going to be about bulkhead legroom. With the obvious exception of a flight attendant jumpseat in the space, or FAs doing their duties and temporarily using the space, I do believe it belongs to the bulkhead passengers. I once had a flight where a woman literally came into my legroom space to do yoga. Thankfully, the FA immediately scurried her off.

Good points. I've had two flights when seated in row 2, and the bulkhead pax in front of me stoves underneath his own seat, behind the separating bar, a laptop sleave plus 2 binders and 3 rather large books, respectively.
When politely trying to inform that things could be stoved underneath the seat in front of you..., I was at both occasions interrupted before the finish - but as you're in a bulkhead seat, it goes in the overhead compartment. I was then rather harshly reprimanded as I obviously were unknowing of flying procedures, and as "this is my seat, and I stove whatever I like underneath it, that's none of your business!
After a short talk with the respective pursers, laptop & binders and books were stored above. Happy to find out angry looks can't kill, as otherwise I'd be singing with the angels for more than 10 years.

No idea where to post this ...(space under seat)
Is there a thread on how to deal with rude people? I did post a question in the lounge thread about people who have loud, long phone conversations in lounges, but my last flight I was continually kicked from the person behind me. I have short legs and when in a seat, I sit with my feet planted directly under my seat. But the people behind me seem to have long legs and are constantly kicking my feet. Normally I let it go (yes, this happens a lot on flights with 2/2 or 3/3 seats) but this week I had had enough and not only did I kick back, but I turned around and glared at them. I wish I knew something funny to say to diffuse the situation but still make them feel bad about taking my space but I cant think of a thing. Thoughts?

I've had problems with being hit in the ankles by the feet of a very tall person seated behind me which were all the way over the bar. I politely asked him not to stretch into my space and to stop kicking me. He was a jerk and told me he "needed" to stretch his legs all the way forward and that I should keep my feet out of his way. At that point I let the FA inform him his space ended at the metal bar, not beyond it.
