When I stretch out my feet, they would touch the bar. Usually I just leave my precious toes an inch or two behind the bar...not because of strong opinions on bar-entitlement, but rather to prevent accidentally getting kicked or stepped on. Its not hard to do this and still be reasonably comfortable. (Well, as economy class "comfort" goes, anyway.)
The lady could have been more pleasant about it, but from his perspective she was thinking "why is this dude sticking his feet into my space?"
When I opened the thread, I thought it was going to be about bulkhead legroom. With the obvious exception of a flight attendant jumpseat in the space, or FAs doing their duties and temporarily using the space, I do believe it belongs to the bulkhead passengers. I once had a flight where a woman literally came into my legroom space to do yoga. Thankfully, the FA immediately scurried her off.
Good points. I've had two flights when seated in row 2, and the bulkhead pax in front of me stoves underneath his own seat, behind the separating bar, a laptop sleave plus 2 binders and 3 rather large books, respectively.
When politely trying to inform that things could be
stoved underneath the seat in front of you..., I was at both occasions interrupted before the finish -
but as you're in a bulkhead seat, it goes in the overhead compartment. I was then rather harshly reprimanded as I obviously were unknowing of flying procedures, and as
"this is my seat, and I stove whatever I like underneath it, that's none of your business!
After a short talk with the respective pursers, laptop & binders and books were stored above. Happy to find out angry looks can't kill, as otherwise I'd be singing with the angels for more than 10 years.
