EU261 question
Apologies if this in the wrong forum.
Quick question - if I am appropriately due compensation under EU261 for a cancelled flight resulting in an overnight stay, am I due additional compensation if the next day's flight is also cancelled after a lengthy delay? Mechanical issue

What's ironic is that I've never even had one legitimate delay/cancellation worthy of EU261 compensation, and now I had two such occurrences back to back. Could be that I normally fly LH and this time I got stuck on Germanwings, but hard to assess that after exactly one trip on them.

Were you confirmed and checked in for the second flight?

Reviving an oler thread versus starying a new one. Asking for a freind as I tend to not make EU261 claims.
Does EU261 depend on the cost of the ticket? An Air Corsical flight from FCS-NCE was delayer by more than 3 hours. The Airline is offering €150 but EU261 rules would indicate €250. The value of the ticket is less that €250. Does this factor into the claim?
Thanks

No, the compensation amounts are fixed, based on distance (the trigger is based on arrival time or in some cases early departure). Ticket price is not relevant, could be air miles.
I'm more familiar with the UK situation, which took on the same rules as EU261. There's a lot of information on the BA forum (to read up on the rules rather than ask questions about Air Corsica!) if that would help you.

Yes, of all the EC261 threads, the one in the BA forum is the most active/informative. While it obviously focuses on UK dispute resolution procedures, posters their have a solid grasp of general principles.

Whether they'll give it to you is another matter
