There is pretty much nothing you can do, despite the fact you do not get the quicker ground handling (which I pay for). Swiss airlines in Zurich have great operations, consistently works, so it can be done.
It's almost as bad as people who write with large, run-on paragraphs. Just complain when it happens and hopefully you'll change their behavior at some point.

This!

The 3 minutes you loose waiting for your bag are well saved by boarding and checking in as late as possible. And it saves a great deal of hassle.

But in the US&A where even the First overheads go full the moment boarding starts, this option does of course not really exist. And waiting 45 minutes for a bag that may or may not show up is also very inefficient.

A lot depends on the OP's travel patterns (100 round trip flights per year implies a 3.65 I.e. 3-4 day-long trips), meaning he/she can fit their stuff into a carry-on bag easily...

I based my suggestions on the assumptions that the OP is Europe-based, so he/she can get to the airport in a fairly reliable way, also meaning that baggage carousels can be slow.

Of course if the OP can give us additional info on their flight patterns, we can better suggest how to maximise their working time (which seems to be their main concern).

How do you figure that? Could just be 100 day trips. I doubt OP is never home.
