I'm sure we've had threads on this before, but in any case...

...I was 11, flying solo to spend a few weeks with my Sister in Los Angeles over the summer. I remember the sweater I was wearing, as I was so excited I barfed all over it. Lucky people sitting next to me!!

1977, LAX to Hawaii. Laker World Airways 747. Never forget take off.
Engines spooled up, pushed back into the seats, screaming down the runway..then lift off. Very cool.

Does in gestation count? It was flying between Vienna and New York. No idea what the plane was.

TWA, BOS-PIT ~1977

I was no older than 4 because I was born in (late) 1974 and deregulation kicked in 4 years later. My mom gave me the window seat, and I simply loved it. We drove the same route during the following summer, and that wasn't nearly as cool.

1992 KLM 737... far more exciting as a little kid than a KLM737 is today

I remember getting a kid pack full of puzzles, games and other stuff from the FAs

July, 1985 on a Pan Am 747-100 from JFK-LAX. I was nine months and don't remember it.

The first flight I remember was an AA DC-10 from JFK-LAX in March, 1989. Here's a cute picture of me, a Flyertalker at an early age reading the safety card (though a very strangely dressed one...orange and green?):

I was born in 83 so probably 84 or 85...probably out of PIT on US. Even though it's been at zero for a long time, my Dividend miles account is almost as old as I am thanks to dad horse glasses signing me up.

I remember it well; 1988, BA IAH to LGW. I was 8 years old and my mom and I got the opportunity to travel to England for 2 weeks while my dad was on business. He sat up in business class while we were back in economy, although I did get to go sit with him for a little while. I still remember the bag of kids activities the FA gave me.

The best part was getting to visit the cockpit during the flight, I remember the captain showing me the on the radar that we were somewhere over Newfoundland. Something that is not really an option for kids anymore, and unlikely to change, I'm really glad I was able to do that

I feel like I should holler out, "get offa my lawn!" since most of your first experiences as a child occurred after I became an adult.

1971, Los Angeles to Boston with my father and my sisters for a couple of weeks visit to relatives (we used to live there), then on to Florida for a visit to friends (used to live there too). My father and my youngest sister went home after a week, my older sister and I stayed on for most of the summer then flew back to LA alone. At one point on the trip, first class was almost empty and we were put in first. I remember it was a plane where first was in the nose.

I'm more than a little jealous. I'd love to fly on one of those one day.

Got you beat in the geezer column: 1962, Qantas 707, Idlewild to Heathrow. But I was very small.
