I fly with one small roller board. Whether I am gone one day or one month, I carry on one small roller board. It goes in the overhead bin bec I want leg/foot room. I have had a memorable situation once when a seatmate asked to use my foot space for her huge tote, which was in addition to her huge purse and roller board. We had never met before. I declined but did press the FA call button so someone could assist w/o this other psgr glomming onto "my" space. Fact is, too many people still pack too much stuff. Don't know about you, but I consider the legroom and overhead bin space to be something I'm entitled to, which is located above my seat and under the seat in front of me. I have no sleepless nights bec I kept clear boundaries where that particular psgr was concerned.
