This. I don't own a rollaboard. I have a briefcase or backpack plus a small three-day tote which, combined, take up far less space than a rollaboard. I'm not going to sit without legroom, in far less comfort than someone who hauls an aisle-busting megabag aboard, just because I travel light and play by the rules.

If in the bulkhead on mainline, or in any row on QX.

We're the "idiots" who put our coats up there, because it is the ONLY thing we put up there. I have my purse in front of me, and my husband has the small carryon. We take up NO other overhead space, so why should we have our coats lying on the floor while we think a bigger "idiot" puts 2 carryons (or more) in the overhead?

I'm going to miss the old 900 F. The upper pockets were at a perfect level to do this.

The new seats are not so good.

Never did try that.

Those are some comfy seats though ;)

If i'm only traveling with one bag i dont see what is wrong with putting it in the overhead bin. I'm more likley to put it under the seat in front if I'm up front and have a window as i can move it out of my feet area after take off

VWTim Feb 20, 2014 12:49 pm

Because I'm 6'-1" and need to wedge my feet under there. Although, 75% of my flights are on Q-400's so it doesn't matter.

That's on the 2nd tier of overhead bin issues. Belongs with the one about people that board late with a roll-aboard, head all the way to the back where the bins are full and closed and then swim upstream to find a place for their bag upfront (if they are lucky) or wander aimlessly looking for an extra empty bin to pop out of the fuselage somewhere.

Like many things in life, a little common courtesy and common sense go a long way to avoiding conflict.

This is an excellent idea for a new event in the 2016 Olympics!

I like the ones who, after the FA's have closed the bins because they are full, open every one to see if there is space.

because the bigger one has all the stuff I'll want to access during the flight.
