Hi,
I will be travelling from India to US in August. I have a question regarding the baggage policy as I will be flying with different airlines.
I shall be flying from Bangalore to Dubai by Emirates, Dubai to Atlanta by Delta and Atlanta to Huntsville by Delta again. Since the most significant carrier is Delta, I would have to follow the baggage policy of Delta ( I have spoken to both the airlines regarding this and they agree to it too).
I am allowed to take a single bag of 23 kgs, however i`m planning to take a second bag as well. Delta charges 75$ for an extra piece but Emirates charges 175$. Though both the airlines have accepted that I follow Delta`s policy, the airport officials at Bangalore told me that I would be charged 175$ for the second baggage.
I really would appreciate if anyone can help me regarding this as I am really confused!
