Longest Flight?
I thought the longest flight was Newark - Sing

However looking @ united.com it shows that Houston - Sing is 23 hours

What is the longest flight?

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-stop_flight it's SQ21 but I'm starting to question that.

SQ flies IAH-SIN via Moscow (DME), so it's technically 2 flights totaling 23 hours.

EWR-SIN is the longest non-stop flight.

Aha, yeah united's website isn't showing that it stops in Moscow.

Would this be one of the cases where some pax don't even leave the plane?

I believe you're required to leave the plane in DME for a security check. I've never been on this flight, but some friends of ours have. I think their actual routing was CEB-SIN-DME-IAH-LIT.

You're required to leave the plane for security and cleaning. On the LAX-NRT-SIN flight, it's the same thing.

UA does not explicitly show stops on direct flights except for a small bit on the bottom sometimes (IAH-DME-SIN is direct to SIN but not nonstop).

It depends what you mean by "longest" (flight time or distance) and if you count direct or only non stop.

I meant non-stop. I didn't realize that united didn't show stops on direct flights even when you get off the plane.

UA's own EWR-SIN is the same, with 90 minutes in HKG (though this is even more noticeable as you change from a 777 to a 737, even though its the 'same' flight
