Help with return flight from PMI/BCN to Boston

I was wondering if you could help me.

I'm trying to book an affordable one-way revenue or mileage flight from PMI/BCN to Boston on August 12th or maybe 11th 2012. I've been looking at all the possible options including routing through european gateway cities but not much luck. I have miles on BA/United/American. I'm wondering which combination of mileage tickets and $ makes most sense. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Where and how have you been "looking"? The ba.com website will not display award availability on partner carrier EI; similarly, aa.com will not display award availability on partner carriers AB, AY, IB, or 9W, all of which offer TATL service.

I checked everything on your list except 9w which I need to call in for. I used expertflyer and qantas website. Interestingly qantas shows IB C availability but BA claims there is no availability on that date. EI has availability but the flight is too early to get in from PMI.

Since you are willing to spend miles and money, are there no flights on LCCs that arrive DUB early enough to make the connection? If not, you might want to consider overnighting in DUB. Redeeming Avios for the DUB-BOS flight would be a very good use of them. EI is the only Avios TATL redemption option with minimal fuel surcharges (other than TATL flights that depart from Brazil).
