A friend of mine needed to go see one of his clients in Germany.

He booked tickets for his boss and himself, and off to MUC they went.

It was only upon getting out of the airport to get a taxi that he realized the client was not in MUC but in DUS.

After a very awkward conf call from MUC airport they took the next flight back home to GVA.

they were very young, and not frequent fliers at all...in fact, I think they were about 19 years old and possibly their first time flying. Oh...and they were most likely very stoned. Just relating the story the way I heard it....

Since we are branching out to rail stories.....

Years ago I was in Heidelberg and wanted to take the train to Landstuhl, in Rhineland-Palatinate. The DB agent kept trying to sell me a ticket to Landshut, which is Bavaria.

I'm sure Landshut is a nice place, but a cute girl was had invited to Landstuhl.

My girlfriend's friend was supposed to meet us in Florida for Spring Break a couple years back. She had her mom book the ticket, who is originally from Spain and doesn't speak English all that well. The girl arrived at BWI and was asked for her passport. She said she didn't have one with her and was travelling to Panama City, FL. The agent said no your ticket is to Panama City, Panama!

Her AA flight was to connect in MIA so she ended up flying the BWI-MIA portion and then took a Greyhound to meet us in Panama City, FL. We all felt bad for her but couldn't help but laughing about it the entire trip.
