My worst incident isn't very bad compared to some of the other stories. I was sitting in an isle seat on a morning flight on JetBlue. As the FAs poured drinks I noticed one wasn't being very careful. Instead of setting the cup on his cart and pouring into it he'd hold the cup in one hand and pour quickly with the other. You can probably see where this is going.

As he stops next to me he pours a coffee over me for someone across the isle. Half the coffee ended up on my leg. I was wearing a suit. He gave me some napkins but said very little. I remember he didn't apologize.

Been lucky, only once

In all my years of flying the only real spill disaster I experience was just last November, when the plane hit turbulence just as the FA carrying a tray of hot coffee was walking by, dumping a significant amount on me and my laptop. Luckily almost all of it hit my laptop, jacket and tie, sparing me from getting burned. All of eventually cleaned up just fine.

Was a bit of a blessing in disguise. I was going to a business meeting in LA and a tie and jacket would have made me terribly over-dressed. Even the board members were wearing their shirts unbuttoned.
