I've used the wundergound site for a while, but that NOAA site has great links to historic data, METARS, PIREPS, etc. Very nice find!

Unlike NOAA, Weatherunderground data is mainly provided by individuals. I have a weather station on Weatherunderground that sends weather data from my personal weather station at home.
At NOAA or weather.com you get airport info which is fine for a general idea of an area's weather. But if you want to know a specific location, you'll probably find it at WU. Where I live the difference between airport weather and my house can be 5-10 degrees difference and since my house is about 350 ft higher elevation, often times when it's raining there, it's snowing here. Only 5 miles apart, but some days seems a very different weather story that NOAA wouldn't tell you about.

Terrafin SST is pretty cool too. It's mostly for water temperatures. But you have to pay for a subscription.
