Besides the crew only thought they knew who it was. Unless your caught red handed you cannot blame anyone.
Crap. First a warning in case you're too dense/defiant to comply with the FA's announcement at the start of every flight, as well as the sticker/placard in the lavatory stating it is prohibited? At that point, I'd consider someone warned.

Don't break the law if you're not willing to pay the consequences.

Surely you not drinking and vegan as well? No speeding, no drugs, no fighting, no arrests etc blah blah. Do you have any story to tell your grandsons?
I actually abstain from alcohol. Don't like it. Makes me sick. In case you are wondering, I don't drink coffee or anything with caffeine, either. Can't stand the stuff.

Diet 7Up is my drink.

The fact that you would make trouble for someone despite the fact you were not harmed
I could very well be harmed if the lit cigarette is thrown in the trash and starts a fire in the aircraft.

Maybe smoking is allowed on some airlines (ones that don't necessarily fly into the US or Europe).

I won't bother you so long as you don't subject me to breathing your cigarette smoke (second hand).
