I remember how very surprised I was when I took a flight from EWR to ZRH with a heavy 32kg case and on my way back they didn't accept it anymore, saying the luggage allowance had changed to 23kg in the meantime. I was late and the gate agent was a ...... I should have argued that I bought the ticket before and the change should be grandfathered in. But I didn't know that and got ripped off. Still angry when I think of it.
Please tell me that's before your FTer era. Otherwise, I would have been so disappointed FT had failed you.

I didn't know a single passenger can check in that many cases of wine/liquor. Is there no limits on quantity as long as the passengers agree to pay for excessive baggage charges?
I would think for weight/fuel control reason, the airlines would pose a max limit on a single passenger's check-in baggage.

A similar event took out the governor and former governor of North Sumatra. They took 3 tonnes of stinky durian fruit on board, and it caused the plane to crash on take off from Medan Polonia airport.
