Ditto. How to select business/first class?

While this is a great tool, it just shows how much fares have gone up in the past few years.

How about an option to specify specific fare classes that you're interested in? For instance, when doing an AA Gold/Platinum Challenge, classes H, K, M, L, W and V earn 1 EQP per mile, while most of the cheaper fares only earn 0.5 EQP.

One other request...

On this page: http://www.farecompare.com/fare-display/index.html...

The fare filters seem to reset every time. So, if I want to search for fares in business class to assorted destinations on Oneworld carriers, it seems that business and Oneworld need to be picked or each and every search during a session. Can these filters be retained?

Please bring back the old....all I want is a list of fares out of pdx, not a treatise

I am unable to see all cities from LAX for instance. Las Vegas among others do not show up, even if I have all the regions clicked. I try to sort by base price and still nothing. This has been happening for the past few days, am I doing something wrong? Or is the feed missing some data?

Thanks

See the post #21. Fares for short haul flights usually mark high PPM, therefore, you don't see LAX-LAS fares on the FT page.

Thanks. I like it better when all prices are displayed. Some fares can get decent PPMs (while not LAX-LAS) if routed via other cities, for which FC would show high PPM.

I agree with you. We can still check the short haul fares (=high-PPM fares)
here:http://www.farecompare.com/fare-display/index.html
but...

Excellent work, everyone. While each of us may have some pecular pecadillo (sounds a bit risque) not being served on occasion, most of us are very appreciative of all the time, effort and creativity that go into each new adaptation. Thanks very much.

I totally agree, I do not like the new page at all.

I had a page bookmarked with it showing UA only sorted by price.

Do not like all the clicking I have to do now each time.

Would it be possible to bring the old page back and give us the link to it?

I loved FC when it first came out, it seems with every new upgrade it just takes longer to find the information I want.

Wish List Summary

After looking at the thread I have the following requests:

1) Show fuel surcharges column(s)
2) Note base fare (domestic) does not include 7.5% sales tax (now inlcuded in total)
3) Add business and first class filters
4) Parameterize url so bookmarking can be set up
5) Possible Issues with some routing displays (need some examples to test)
6) Fare Pull from our Database Issues
---- a) Not enough fares pulled (500 default by PPM now)
---- b) Doesn't return short haul higher PPM fares that could be used for long mileage routings
7) Default Guess at departure airport by IP annoying
8) Booking Code Filter
9) Departure Date Filter
10) Don't reset the filters on each query

We are probably going to only make one more pass at this for a while so those that don't suggest shouldn't complain ...

pareto Jul 15, 2008 11:05 pm

how about having the mileage (and cpm) reflect actual routings rather than point-to-point distance? it's an interesting challenge...

fzwinter Jul 15, 2008 11:42 pm

A nice feature. Now if I just had the time/money to book some of these flights...;)
