The radius is not terribly exhaustive. Plus you have to have set dates or a date range to use ITA. The beauty of the FC data is that you can target the fare before figuring out when to go.

Seems that FC email alerts are coming back online. Got one overnight, anyone else?

Yes, they also purged my alert history yesterday, so maybe they loaded an upgrade to fix these issues.

It's been gone for about 2 months.

Are you having a lot of success that way?

Yes, but I'm getting alerts well over any max fare amount I would have set. Tonight I finally logged in to adjust my thresholds and I can't find where to do that - not under profile, alerts, trips, subscriptions, etc.

Is there any news as to if/when the farecompare.com/flyertalk page (or a replacement) is coming? Any official word from FareCompare on here? Trying to find something interesting to do this summer and coming up blank so far, was hoping for some inspiration.

It's been awhile, but I used to find Farecompare a good place to start looking for MRs. Put in your starting cities and see the lowest cpms to various destinations, which pointed me to possibilities. Is that gone, as in no more and not coming back? Why would they abandon a useful tool, if that's what they have done?

While not as functional as the prior tools available, the Fare Display page still seems to work and will sort by PPM and the rules functionality appears to still work some of the time.

One thing I did notice, as I haven't used Fare Compare in a long time, is that the Fare Display page functions for itineraries started internationally, something IIRC it gave errors on prior. I plugged in the recent RGN-YUL mistake fare as a test and it returned some fares and the rules worked.

Is there any update on this? Many of us used this amazing tool when looking for great fares (personally I used it for finding good YUPP fares) so without this tool, finding specials really takes some time!

Any news folks?

It seems to me that a long time back when Farecompare was going through some beta testing of their offerings and later when changes were being made to the platform, a company representative posted a few times to FT. Maybe someone knows how to reach the company, so we could contact them and ask our question(s) - "what happened to that helpful search tool you used to support" - directly of them. I don't recall seeing any contact info on their website, but I'll go have another look.

Airline filtering not working

I was looking at http://www.farecompare.com/maps/ and I tried to use the airline filter. It doesn't seem to work. I was trying to search for UA flights out of SEA, but many of the results that show up on the map aren't on UA. Can anyone suggest a similar website that actually works?
