I was thinking about that, but I decided to use their "EconomyPlus" designation for any true premium economy segments I fly.

I've been doing that too...MCE on AA, EC on DL etc.

I did send an email to the site asking about the issue but was advised that they don't have a IPad to assist me. 😥

As much as I like FlightMemory, and that I've been paying for Premium membership for ages, I hate that it has virtually remained the same all these years. And whenever you suggest changes, additions, enhancements, etc, to the webmasters, they're so reluctant to move on and take new chances...

I have been premium for 3 years and I agree - time for some changes/enhancements ^

A good alternative to FlightMemory which is free is my site (full disclosure!) www.Pitot.io

Tons of awesome stuff to play around with on there.

Any way to do it without date and time? That's one of the main features I like about FM, especially since I can't really put dates (and times) to flights I took a long time ago. I do like that (similar to FM) you're not absolutely restricted in the airlines you add, which I've run into problems with on ba97

I was enjoying entering flights into your site except it doesn't recognize People Express as an airline, nor will it let me add it :(

swissdiver Oct 26, 2014 3:03 am

I am a long term FM top 1% FM user, premium from 2008 and, as each year, ask again myself the question: is it worth renewing. My feel is the service critically needs a serious revamp, and, even more important, an iPad app!
Each time I raise my concerns, the answer is "we are only two behind the website"... I understand, but we are paying and at USD 35 each, I am sure better can be done!
What are your thoughts?
Thanks

CMK10 Oct 27, 2014 4:36 pm

Renewed my premium membership today for another year. $31 is a fair price for all the added features ^

josmon10 Oct 28, 2014 5:03 pm

I share both your views, swissdiver and CMK10: very disappointed that FM is virtually the same website I stumbled upon back in 2007. However, no matter how free OpenFlights or FlightDiary may be, I still prefer FlightMemory to any other and don't mind paying year after year.

One day soon I hope to have "100% behind me" in every ranking! Right now only in 5 categories out of 9...

I have this another shot and it seems to get hung up any time I try to add the 739ER-anyone who has tried this gotten it to add?

Is there a form or list of those who keep current Flight Memories? I am a big fan of this site, and the maps and always enjoy when I see a FTer with a map link.

I've created a wikipost and put some links that FTers have posted to their FM page.

Hey great idea! I just added mine ^

JAXBA Jan 17, 2015 11:45 am

I just added mine and I admit to now having map envy...

sbm12 Apr 1, 2015 6:08 am

For those who use FlightMemory and want to be able to track aircraft registrations I've built a little browser extension hack which adds that n-number lookup into the flight edit page. The data only works for domestic US travel where the DoT has recorded the information in the BTS logs and it has a delay of ~6-10 weeks (Jan '15 is most current) but it should be complete and accurate for most domestic US flights.

n.b. The link above is to my blog or to one which I am a regular contributor. FT rules require that I disclose that in the post.

Has anyone found a way to transport data from FlightMemory to another site that will show more than the top 10 airports? That's my biggest complaint about the site now (besides the unexciting map)...I wish we could display more top airports. Does Open Flights do that?

Mart81 Oct 7, 2016 3:35 pm

If you go in statistics and you click on the header you will get a list of all of your airports

That must only be for premium members...I can only see top 10 airports. Does premium membership list every single airport in the data?

OpenFlights has a function where you can import your FlightMemory data by saving each FlightMemory page as an html file that you can import into OpenFlights. OpenFlights does allow you to show all airports (hit top 10 first, then you'll have the option to see all) and you can also sort by mileage in addition to segments

Ah yes that could be the case. It does list all of the airports yes

Thanks sbm12! Cool addition.

I love Flight Memory and have just renewed my subscription to Premium for another 2 years. ^

Seby12 Oct 16, 2016 1:18 pm

Is there a good database for international flights, particularly LH flights.

sailor279 Nov 15, 2016 5:04 am

Does flight memory accept forwarded emails with flight details (like Tripit) or do you have to input each on their website individually?

Love this idea but as a frequent business traveler, am looking to minimize time.

fransknorge Nov 16, 2016 12:13 am

FlightMemory only takes manual input, there is no automation via e-mail or anything. That being said, it is quite quick to input one flight, roughly 30 sec per flight.

What are the advantages of the premium version versus having a flightdiary account on top of the free flightmemory ?

You get additional stats, ability to filter your view based on year, airport, aircraft, or other metrics, and you can compare your stats to other users. It's not the greatest value proposition but I enjoy the extra features and still hold out hope that the site will see enhancements one of these days.

ChiefNWA Nov 23, 2016 11:51 am

I'm surprised so many still use FlightMemory, I find Flight Diary infinitely better.

Just too lazy to move all data from flightmemory to Flight Diary.
Any good tools ?

I believe Flight Diary has auto import function from Flight Memory, or at least it did when I made the switch.

Flight Diary can import from OpenFlights, but not directly from FlightMemory

So far, no tool to get all data from flightmemory ?

steveman518 Nov 17, 2017 1:39 am

If you log into openflights you can import to there from flightmemory. Click on import and the directions should pop up. I believe it involves saving your flightmemory pages at html documents and importing those into openflights. It's a bit roundabout, and it's probably the easiest way since flight diary only takes csv files as imports and there's no real way to export flightmemory data as a csv. Considering that flight diary only lists two methods of imports if you check, there isn't really any other great options that I'm aware of.

Dang, I never realised that there is actually a premium version. Must be blind! Will have to go and check it out now...

Have an entire box full of tickets, boarding passes, amenity kits and menus. After 10 hours of transcribing my flight data, came up with the followering;

-Flight Distance in KM: 1,035,488 or 643,422 Miles
-Booking Classes: F-65, C-47, Y-264
-Total flights: 376

I would imagine this figure would appear small along side of the many other Frequent Flyers on this site...

Incidentally, just scrolling through the earlier posts on this thread and wondered how big your box has to be to include that many boarding passes, menus and amenity kits!

It's well worth paying for. You get no ads, double the maps, and your Top 10 lists become Top 20 and they add some lists too. I renew every year.

koreanair720 Jul 25, 2018 6:17 am

Site's down. Really hoping this isn't permanent.

Any of the paying members get an email or anything?

Working fine for me.
