FlightRadar24 alternative?

Not sure if this is the best place to post this.

Is it me, or has anyone else found that FlightRadar24 is moving more and more features behind paid subscriptions? I went onto the iPhone app today and it was only showing 12 hours of airport arrivals/departures. I'm sure recently it showed more. And at my small local airport that's not many flights.
Also it seems the ads now take up more screen area, which I assume is to annoy the Users and try to make them pay for ad-removal.

Is there any FR24 app equivalent to use instead? Something that used to be the FR24 of old?

Off the top of my head, other flight tracking websites/apps that I use in addition to FlightRadar24 are FlightAware and FlightStats.

We also have a Flight Tracking Apps thread, where some additional services are listed.

If you want the overhead map view of flights, another option for that is adsbexchange - less coverage, but shows some aircraft that don't appear on FR24 (military, mostly)

A fellow FTer recently posted their free app, Contrail. I like it quite a bit, and it's free. Thread here.

Hi everyone Contrail developer here! Thanks travelingdrsuz for the kind shoutout 🙏
To answer the original question: yes, FR24 has been steadily moving more features behind paid tiers, and the ad density on the free version has gotten pretty aggressive. Thats actually exactly why I built Contrail I wanted a clean, ad-free flight tracker without subscriptions or accounts.
Quick overview:
Free, no ads, no account required
Real-time flight tracking with route, airline, aircraft type, gate info, and delays
Airport arrivals/departures boards with scheduled vs. actual times
Available on iOS (App Store), Android in closed beta
Coverage comes from open community ADS-B feeds plus paid APIs for enriched flight details. It wont match FR24s coverage everywhere yet (they have their own feeder network), but its growing.
Happy to answer any questions, and feedback from frequent flyers is always welcome!

where do I file bugs? Got a GitHub or other place? Just saw this and tried it and found that it shows right now a massive cluster of flights over Florida (and much much fewer across the rest of the east coast) but half of those flights just disappear as I zoom in.

this is a nice app that has a lot less complexity than FR24, and in my fifteen minutes of usage I do really like it.
