Is SeatGuru defunct?
I booked Delta One from IND-LIM via ATL. Seat Guru showed the plane (A350-900) configuration as an updated Delta One 1-2-1 cabin. Delta showed it as an outdated 2-2-2 configuration that appeared to be a rebadged LATAM A350. When I sent an email to Seat Guru to suggest they update their information, I got back a reply from TripAdvisor saying Seat Guru was not accepting any more updates. Is the site defunct? Is there an alternate site?

I recommend AeroLopa, created by our very own Prospero. It is the go to for accurate seat information these days. He has threads in several of the airline forums seeking corrections and updates to his schematics.

Not defunct but sadly neglected by owner TripAdvisor (that also neglects its own content).

I also checked with a friend who's a former SeatGuru employee, and he also confirmed that it hasn't been updated in years.

Confirming thread on TripAdvisor (that was also bumped this week) that SeatGuru is no more.
https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopi...-SeatGuru.html It's expired and gone to meet it's Maker it is an Ex Website |
It's dead because TripAdvisor couldn't find a way to monetize it.

Thanks for sharing -- incredibly frustrating to see that TripAdvisor moderators are removing posts in that thread which don't meet their standards, but can't be bothered to weigh in with any official word. (TA owns SG.)

I've been watching that thread, I'm not sure TA removed any posts that dealt with Seatguru, they removed posts about the Alaska Airline incident

Weird that people would post in that thread about the Alaska Airlines incident, but I think my point still stands -- someone from TripAdvisor could have answered the question authoritatively, and was aware of the thread as evidenced by the moderator removing posts.

Seat Guru's narrative about good and bad seats is quite helpful.
