Google Trips
I'm getting a bit fed up with Tripcase and have noticed that Google trips is aggregating the info in a better way - for me anyway.
On the one hand it's "smarter" than TripCase and not so obviously USA-centric. It doesn't keep assigning me to random Midwest towns when I enter hotels in obscure destinations in Orkney or China.
On the other hand, Google is running even more of my life which is a bit creepy.
I let it because I'm lazy.
I like clearing out my apps and keeping it simple, and on this basis, I think I'm going to be a sheeple and let GT do it for me, and delete the other apps.
Thoughts?

I'm not a fan of Google Trips ... yet. I think it has potential. But so far it's too limiting. It constructs its own ideas of where I'm going, which may or may not be accurate. And it has limited manual override capability when it messes up, which is often.
Overall, I prefer TripIt by a lot. But keep an eye on Google Trips -- this is an early iteration and I wouldn't be surprised if it improved quite a bit in the near future.

Yeah heard some hype about Google Trips.
But I manually add a lot of notes and do so via the desktop browser, not the app.
Google Trips is app. only it appears so offers very limited customization options.
I guess it pulls in reservations automatically, using AI and being more intrusive in your email.

I didn't hear any hype until I looked it up.
Before the hype, I just noticed it was aggregating my trips from Gmail. So I started sending my work trips to Gmail to see how it handled them. This was without any app.
Then I downloaded the app.
The lack of manual input is a frustration but it learns. They're using us all as beta-testers it seems.
the pluses are that it's simple and logical, once it learns.

It was combining trips under a "trips" tab in Google "Inbox" for most of the year before the app was announced.
The layout and graphics were the same as what app users now see.
That's how I and presumably many others became aware of it.
