Hipmunk Consolidated Information and Help Thread

Hello,

I found a pretty cool flight search site called hipmunk works quite well.

Let me know what you think of it.

Pretty UI slapped on the ITA Matrix. Nothing to see, move along.

And clicking through to "Book" bumps the price up more often than not.

I use it from time to time. The interface is pretty nice, but it doesn't show the lowest prices in many cases.

TBH there's no real interface that shows the lowest price each time... I've often found lower prices on the airline websites over ITA for example, even for the exact same flights.

I like the interface, so I've recommended it to those who don't care to mess around with ITA. I also always use it to check for hotel options when I'm trying to find cheap hotels for friends and family, as every now and then it digs up an amazing deal no other search can find. ^

I like both, although ITA is superior. Hipmunk is what I recommend to people who don't want to learn to use ITA. On the other hand, I think Hipmunk is great for searching for hotels, and there aren't many competitive alternatives in that area. If you want to learn to use ITA, I have a little guide on my blog, along with reviews of Hipmunk's flight and hotel search features.

I like it. It's not the only tool I use, but the interface is kind of helpful when I'm just playing around to see what my options are.

I like the hotel search feature where it gives you a list of hotels in a particular area with their tripadvisor ratings and price.

actually, the SEEING is what makes it nice, as opposed to ITA's needlessly cluttered interface

Thats what I thought too. Most airline websites are cluttered and not so easy to use. Hipmunk elevates the experience .

The interface is quite nice... However, the prices seem a little inflated.
