new bug... Cant download emails, getting a memory full error - it wants me to close applications.... none are open....?

Were you able to reslve this problem? I understand it is due to the allocation of memory to the C:Drive and should be resolved with the Firmware upgrade to 12.xxx something. It is out now in many countries. I do not have it yet in Switzerland.

can one update the firmware from a phone menu or do you have patch it through...?

I'm done with the N97. It was a great toy for a few months and this was a great thread. Time to move on to the Nexus One (well, maybe I'll be back, based on the experiences of some other). So Long!

Most firmware needs to be physically hooked up to the PC before you can upgrade. Having said that, I read the latest v21 (released yesterday) can eventually be applied just on the phone.
