Syncing Google Calendar on Linux

Does anyone know what I can use to sync my netbook running Arch Linux with my Google Calendar? I think Evolution will work, but I'm looking for something hopefully more lightweight.

Thanks Scott, that has a lot of good information. Do you have an opinion on a good lightweight calendar client to use with GCalDaemon? I'm thinking maybe Sunbird, but I'm concerned that like Evolution it may be too resource-heavy.

I ended up using Subird for now, but I still hope to find something lighter and faster for my EEEpc. I actually didn't need GCalDaemon to make Sunbird work.
