Well....

I'm doing MAN-LHR-LAX-AKL-NAN on Monday (obviously not arriving on Monday). I'm hoping to take two laptops (yes, the Mac is too addictive to leave at home for 6+ weeks with only the company Dell to play with), a DSLR kit and a couple of changes of clothes. I have a *A gold card and am flying *A all the way (so a proper piece of hand luggage + laptop bag should *hopefully* be no problem). I'll post full details of my totally OTT (IMO) TravelTechathon either just before I go or when I arrive in NAN.....

For my one day mileage run, I usually just bring with me my Iphone. I can watch youtube, downloaded movies, musics, and read with my phone. Also the charger and that's about it. Plain and simple. ^

This trip:
- Camera stuff: DSLR, compact camera, bunch o' CF cards, shard charger (normally only one or the other, rather than both), CF-to-PCMCIA adapter
- Laptop stuff: the laptop, bay CD drive (have bay battery in the machine), AC charger, DC auto/air charger, bluetooth dongle, CD wallet with some video games
- US phone, foreign phone, "new" foreign phone to get unlocked (*) chargers for the latter two (normally just one), data cable for old foreign phone
- MP3 player
- Mini-USB cable to charge MP3 player and US phone
- headset for VoIP (at some point this will probably be replaced with a small bluetooth one)

(* sadly it doesn't work, waiting to see back in the US if the guys at MBK ruined it or if it's just some other problem. If anyone has an idea why a Samsung A707, allegedly quad-band and allegedly now unlocked, won't work with a regular AIS GSM SIM I'm all ears.)
