PMP or Netbook?
Hi! Just trying to decide which to get - a PMP like an Archos/Cowon (more for watching d/l dvd/movies when the IFE breaks down/hotel has nothing on) or one of these netbooks (AspireOne, eee, wind).
Anyone have had to decide the same thing - which one you got or did you get both?!
If you got the netbook - did you go with Linux or XP Home?
SSD or HDD?
Sorry I know - lots of questions.

I think you're confusing two quite different devices. I can only comment on the netbooks.
Both the eee pc and the Aspire sell with 160Gb Hard Disks and 6-cell batteries. Both will help for long distance entertainment use.
There are lots of good netbook resources online, comparing different models, so have a good look around. Compare units side by side. I compared the two you mention and went with the eee pc for its larger screen, good keyboard and large battery.
I'm happy with it as a netbook but can't comment on it for ripped movies/tv use yet (nor the legality of using my movies on the netbook using ripping software).
