Firefox ABP Failures

Recently, it seems a lot of places, including FT, have installed random IP address generators for their ads, basically watering down Ad-Block Plus dramatically.

Any suggestions for better ad-block protection on Firefox? I'm on 2.0.0.14 right now.

www.admuncher.com

Nothing beats it. The latest version even skips video ad's on most sites (like CNN).

I recommend editing your HOSTS file with one on the site below. This method requires no additional software but addresses the problem right at the source. I do not see a single ad on any site. This also applies to any browser.

Or for more info.

Scroll down to where it says "Other uses for the hosts file"

I use ABP with a subscription to EasyList (USA) filters and have been perfectly happy with it.

Very nice. Evidently it costs something after the 30 day trial period? But they don't seem to tell you how much, that I can see.

It's hidden away a little under the register tab:

https://www.admuncher.com/register.shtml

Just under $30 for a lifetime (4.xx) registration.
